It's 29th October, and little do we realize that raya has already made its half move. Weekends would be hectic with open rooms piled in a row, and round li'l tummies just get - well, bloated.

For our open room, I was so-called elected as head chef for the chicken rendang. Whacked up some great time with chillies, chicken and all, and the room and kitchen just can't get any messier. Been sittin' in front of the stove from 10pm till 630am. After all, it's just a once in a year event.
The dishes? Nasi impit, dried chicken rendang, mee jawa, kuah kacang, air sirap limau, cookies, sweets and some wee bit of 'kuih cornflakes'. Tapi ade yang terkurang..maaf yee yang tak dapat :P

Menu Rendang Ayam Kering (doing it my maktok's way) :
Kisarkan bawang merah, bawang putih, halia, lengkuas, dan serai. Masukkan ke dalam periuk/kuali. Tumis. Masukkan cili boh/cili kering yang telah dikisar. Tunggu sehingga pecah minyak. Untuk mendapatkan warna yang lebih 'umph', tunggu lama sedikit.
Masukkan ayam yang telah dipotong kecil-kecil. Kacau. Kemudian, tuang santan pekat. Masukkan asam keping, daun limau purut, garam dan gula secukup rasa. Kalau mahu pedas, boleh masukkan sos cili; jika tidak, bubuh sos tomato (tapi tak perlu banyak).
Sejam yang terakhir, boleh masukkan kerisik dan serai/daun kunyit untuk menaikkan bau.

ps: pastikan api tidak terlalu kuat, dan perlu kacau selalu supaya tidak hangit. Untuk hasil yang memuaskan, tunggula 5 jam ye =)

haah, tu kak bad, tinggal kat bilik atas bilik saye je. Meriahhh sangat raye kat cni kak sarah, smpai openhouse hari minggu berturut2 - x menang tangan dibuatnye. ape lagi akak, cepatla buat rendang tu..boleh saye tumpang sesuap :P

late?raye kan sebulan..hehe. Yup, istanbul is gorgeous!!!memang sgt lucky utk stranded di itu. The trip was tiring, but Warsaw is a place worth visiting. It's more like you're stepping into 'mini' London.
